Filmmaker. Storyteller.
Alisa Pien is a Thai-Taiwanese-American filmmaker and a Film Studies major graduate from School of Digital media and Cinematic Arts of Bangkok University with first honor. Pursuing her passion for filmmaking from the age of 13, Alisa’s work has earned numerous national and international awards in the both filmmaking and advertising scenes. Her films have been showcased at prominent film festivals across Asia and Europe, including those in Beijing, Mexico, Berlin, Kolkata, and Bucharest.
Growing up with a blend of cultures has given Alisa a unique perspective, helping her understand that story and emotion transcend language. As a filmmaker, she is dedicated to the art of visual storytelling, emphasizing style, structure, and form to convey emotion and narrative depth. This approach allows her to explore diverse genres, including drama, fantasy, horror, psychological thrillers, musicals, and comedies.
She is also a female right advocate vocalizing for gender equality and anti-discrimination campaign in Thailand.
Her portfolio includes a variety of work, from short films to music videos for popular artists like Thaitanium, Zweed n’ Roll, and Cocktail, as well as advertisements for global brands such as Nike, Valorant, Burger King, SCB, PTT, Caltex, and AIS.
In 2024, Alisa had her narrative debut directing the Episode 8, "Viral Curse," of the Netflix Thailand Original series "Terror Tuesday Extreme”.
